LAOS: PETONG { 26 images } Created 10 Sep 2013

Petong, as the Lao call the French game Pétanque, is the national sports in Laos. A relict from the French colonizers' past, petong is played everywhere, by anyone. There is a national team, regional tournaments are organized. There are common fields, and fields that are situated next to a company building, an office or even a courthouse. So the judge can play petong with his collegues during lunchbreak.
